Overview

Start your very own "Mission Earth" with the Bachelor Aerospace. The six-semester Bachelor's program, taught entirely in English, is the ideal introduction to the global future topic of aerospace.

We offer an innovative, comprehensive and subject-specific basic education for the aerospace engineers of tomorrow. All important disciplines are covered in an interdisciplinary manner and neighboring and application-oriented fields are also included, so that students develop a view of the overall system right from the start and learn to solve technically complex problems in all areas of aerospace.

Structure

The aerospace industry has a strong presence in Munich, and it serves an international market that continues to grow in many future fields (new space, satellite Internet, air cabs, eAviation, etc.). As specialized engineers, you have many opportunities to find a great career start in this broad spectrum. And of course, with your knowledge e.g. in lightweight construction and materials, aerodynamics or thermodynamics, you will also be welcome in other sectors such as the energy industry or the automotive industry.

The program provides solid knowledge in aerospace-specific core disciplines (mathematics and systems theory, solid mechanics, fluid mechanics and thermodynamics, materials and machine elements, electrical and information engineering) and builds on this with practical, structured and open teaching formats and a range of specialization offerings.

Close partnerships with companies located in Bavaria's "Space Valley" enable early practical orientation for all students. Our graduates are very well prepared for the international job market in research or the aerospace industry due to their broad and at the same time subject-specific engineering education in theory and practice. They are our contribution to maintaining and expanding the competitiveness of German industry in the field of aerospace and geodesy. The Bachelor Aerospace is also the ideal preparation for the Master Aerospace.

Qualifications

The selection is made by means of an aptitude assessment procedure. This is a two-stage process in which suitability for the special qualitative requirements of the bachelor's degree program is assessed. In the first stage, the Abitur grades as well as subject-specific individual grades and, if applicable, relevant additional qualifications are evaluated by means of a point system. Depending on the score achieved, applicants are either admitted immediately, rejected, or invited to a selection interview.
