Overview
The explosion of cultural data and recent advances in data science (artificial intelligence, natural language processing, big data) offer entirely new opportunities in the humanities and social sciences. PSL University is ideally positioned to seize these new opportunities. In partnership with Lycée Louis-le-Grand, the new "Data Science, Arts and Cultures" program of CPES aims to break down barriers between disciplines to train data scientists who can describe, understand, and analyze cultural productions in all their diversity. Cultural phenomena will be studied in all their forms and across all eras, from traditional Chinese legends to American comics, from Greek tragedies to Japanese video games.
