About this course
The first of its kind in Australia, two of the world's leading institutions for the humanities and social sciences - the University of Sydney's Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and Sciences Po in France - have come together to offer students a dual degree program.
Who is it for?
Anyone interested in immersing themselves in another culture by living and learning in France for two years. The program offers an international learning experience and the opportunity to study across two continents and two world class institutions.
Structure
What you’ll study
Students accepted into the program will work towards both:
- Bachelor of Arts at Sciences Po, and
- Bachelor of Arts at the University of Sydney
The dual degree program incorporates a four-year structure as follows:
- Year One: France – commencing in August at one of three Sciences Po regional campuses. In the first year, students take introductory courses in each foundational discipline.
- Year Two: France – continue study at the selected regional campus. In the second year, students continue with advanced study of the disciplines through a multidisciplinary perspective while diving into coursework related to their multidisciplinary major of choice: Economy and Society, Political Humanities, or Politics and Government.
- Year Three: Sydney – all students move to the University of Sydney for year three, commencing in July (Semester 2)
- Year Four: Sydney – final year of study which will be completed in June.
Costs
Years 1 and 2: Sciences Po
The first tuition fee component is for Years 1 to 2 at Sciences Po, France.
Tuition fees are available on the Sciences Po website. Students are responsible for all Sciences Po fees applicable for the initial years of study in the Dual Degree program and must make their own enquiries directly with Sciences Po to determine what these fees are.
Regardless of whether you are a Commonwealth supported student, or international full fee paying student, tuition fees are paid directly to Sciences Po.

Secondary qualification
A secondary education qualification such as the NSW Higher School Certificate, including national and international equivalents.
A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
