What you’ll study
The Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Advanced Studies is a degree that allows you to hone your analytical skills, think independently, and form and articulate judgements based on argument and evidence.
You will study a core foundational unit that will orient you towards studying the arts. You will then complete a major from the Arts and Social Sciences disciplinary pool, and you will add breadth to your degree by taking a second major or a minor from either the disciplinary pool or the shared pool and completing units from the Open Learning Environment.
Additionally, you will take any elective units as needed to make up the required credit points for the course.
In the final year of your degree, you will undertake advanced coursework where you will enhance your leadership, critical thinking and problem-solving skills and increase your employment prospects. You will undertake challenging coursework and a substantial real-world project individually or in collaboration with other students.
If you would like to study honours and meet the relevant admissions requirements, you will be able to apply for an appended honours degree after completing three years of undergraduate study.
