Structure
What you’ll study
The Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Advanced Studies (International and Global Studies) is a degree that equips you with the skills to work in a global society.
You will complete a program in International and Global Studies and a language minor which will provide you the regional expertise and linguistic competence to work in organisations with an international scope, and communicate effectively across cultural and linguistic boundaries. You will also complete a second major (which can be an extension of your language minor) and compulsory exchange units.
Additionally, you will add breadth to your studies by taking units from the Open Learning Environment and any elective units from either the disciplinary pool or the shared pool as needed to make up the requirements of the course.
In the final year of your degree, you will undertake advanced coursework where you will enhance your leadership, critical thinking and problem-solving skills and increase your employment prospects. You will undertake challenging coursework and a substantial real-world project individually or in collaboration with other students.
If you would like to study honours and meet the relevant admissions requirements, you will be able to apply for an appended honours degree after completing three years of undergraduate study.
