Overview

About this course

The first of its kind in Australia, two of the world's leading institutions for the humanities and social sciences - the University of Sydney's Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and Sciences Po in France - have come together to offer students a dual degree program.

Who is it for?

Anyone interested in furthering their studies in French and learning about other cultures while living in France for 2 years. The program offers an international learning experience and the opportunity to apply this learning to an Australian context.

Structure

What you’ll study

Students accepted into the program will work towards both:

  • Bachelor of Arts at Sciences Po, and
  • Bachelor of Economics at the University of Sydney

The dual degree program incorporates a four-year structure as follows:

  • Year One: France – commencing in August at one of three Sciences Po regional campuses. In the first year, students take introductory courses in each foundational discipline.
  • Year Two: France – continue study at the selected regional campus. In the second year, students continue with advanced study of the disciplines through a multidisciplinary perspective while diving into coursework related to their multidisciplinary major of choice: Economy and Society, Political Humanities, or Politics and Government.
  • Year Three: Sydney – all students move to the University of Sydney for year three, commencing in July (Semester 2)
  • Year Four: Sydney – final year of study which will be completed in June.
