About this course
The Bachelor of Engineering Honours (Dalyell Scholars) provides access to a suite of enrichment opportunities and distinctive units of study that cultivate a sophisticated understanding of your chosen engineering stream.
Who is it for?
Exclusive to high achieving students (ATAR of 98+ or equivalent), the program is designed to equip you with those highly-valued skills by enriching your learning experience with leadership training, travel opportunities and mentoring from academics and experienced engineers.
Structure
What you’ll study
The Bachelor of Engineering Honours (Dalyell Stream) is an undergraduate coursework degree that allows meritorious students to undertake advanced units to complement their Engineering studies in their chosen stream. This course is accredited by Engineers Australia and other major professional engineering institutions.
You will complete degree foundational core units in mathematics and computing, along with a suite of multidisciplinary project units. You will also complete core and specialist elective units in your chosen stream.
Additionally, you will complete elective units as needed to make up the requirements of the course from either the Engineering disciplinary pool or the shared pool. In your final year, you will complete an honours thesis in your chosen stream.
Throughout your degree, you will undertake professional engagement activities as part of the Professional Engagement Program, including engineering work experience in the final year.

Admissions
A secondary education qualification such as the NSW Higher School Certificate (including national and international equivalents) with an ATAR of 98 or equivalent, or the first year of full-time study in a bachelor's degree with an average mark of 80 or equivalent.
A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
A minimum result of 61 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
