About this course
With its flexibility and huge choice of majors, the Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Science (Advanced) provides you with a background in both the humanities and the sciences. The 'advanced' units of study provide you with high-level challenges, special projects, and accelerated learning.
Who is it for?
If you are fascinated by the world and want to immerse yourself in everything from Psychology to Astrophysics, International Relations to Italian Studies, with a BLAS degree you can indulge your interests without restricting yourself to just one specialist area of study.
Structure
What you’ll study
The Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Science (Advanced) is an undergraduate coursework degree that provides you with a background in both the humanities and the sciences. You will study core and core selective liberal studies units in topics including academic writing, critical thinking and ethics. You will choose a major from either the Arts or Science disciplinary pools, and complete additional units from the other faculty to support your studies. You will also complete elective units from the disciplinary pools, the shared pool or the Open Learning Environment as needed to meet the requirements of the course.

Secondary or tertiary qualification
A secondary education qualification such as the NSW Higher School Certificate (including national and international equivalents), OR approved higher education study, including approved preparation courses.
A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
A minimum result of 61 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
