Our Bachelor of Music offers programs in Contemporary Music Practice, Composition for Creative Industries, Digital Music and Media, and Musicology. Become a broadly educated musician, with skills across music and arts-related contexts and professions to build a flourishing creative career.

Structure
What you’ll study
The Bachelor of Music is an undergraduate liberal studies degree that will enable you to become a broadly educated musician, learning a range of skills in various music and arts-related contexts and professions to prepare you for a career in music.
In your chosen program, you will specialise in discipline-specific studies in popular music, film and television, or in the media and tech industry. Core studies also include performance and ensemble practice, music theory and aural skills, and music analysis, history and culture studies.
Students in the final year can undertake music specialist project work or honours for further research study. Additionally, students will complete a major and/or minor from the shared pool and any elective units from the Open Learning Environment (OLE) or the shared pool as needed to make up the requirements of the course.

Secondary or tertiary qualification
A secondary education qualification such as the NSW Higher School Certificate (including national and international equivalents), OR approved higher education study, including approved preparation courses.
Alternatively, applicants may be granted admission on the basis of:
- having successfully undertaken tertiary studies in music at or above Diploma level to the equivalent of at least one year of study.
A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
A minimum result of 61 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
