About this course
Our course provides comprehensive preparation for a career in pharmacy, from learning how drugs are developed, to how medications are used.
It integrates the PBA's compulsory intern training program and supervised practice requirements. It also provides a foundation knowledge of business practices.

With hands-on learning and clinical experience, our course is ideal for those who want to acquire the requisite knowledge and skills to succeed as a pharmacist in a contemporary practice setting whilst developing the business acumen to create sustainable and innovative practice models.
Structure
What you’ll study
The Bachelor of Pharmacy and Management (Honours) / Master of Pharmacy Practice is a vertically integrated coursework degree which will prepare you for professional practice as a pharmacist. The course includes the Pharmacy Board of Australia's intern training program and supervised practice requirements. Over the six years you will develop a comprehensive understanding of how medicines are developed and how medications affect the human body, as well as gain the skills to develop sustainable and innovative business models and remain relevant to the ever-changing needs of the healthcare system. Graduates will be eligible to apply for general registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (after successfully completing the examination and other requirements).
You will complete a sequence of core units that meet the accreditation requirements for your profession, with a focus on the pharmaceutical and pharmacological properties of medicines, problem solving, clinical decision making, communication, building an evidence base, delivering person-centred healthcare to a diverse population with a range of medical conditions, and advanced business management skills. In addition to on-campus learning, you will also have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills in different practice settings through Work Integrated Learning placements. Honours is integrated into the fifth year of the course and consists of an independent research program supervised by a member of the academic staff.

Secondary or tertiary qualification
A secondary education qualification such as the NSW Higher School Certificate (including national and international equivalents), OR approved higher education study, including approved preparation courses.
A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
A minimum result of 61 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
