About this course
The degree comprises a Wildlife Conservation major that combines biology, ecology and conservation with units of study in statistics and animal sciences. It provides training in all aspects of wildlife conservation, covering the study of animal health, wildlife management, and animal behaviour.

Structure
What you’ll study
The Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Taronga Wildlife Conservation) is an undergraduate coursework degree that will develop your research skills in biology and wildlife conservation, and your capability and confidence to work across cultural boundaries enhanced via international mobility opportunities. You will study core units to gain essential knowledge in fundamental sciences. You will then complete the Taronga Wildlife Conservation stream comprising core and project units within an embedded program and major. Additionally, you will complete units from the Open Learning Environment and any elective units as needed to make up the required credit points for the course.
In the final year of your degree, you will undertake advanced coursework where you will enhance your leadership, critical thinking and problem-solving skills and increase your employment prospects. You will undertake challenging coursework and a substantial real-world project individually or in collaboration with other students.
If you would like to study honours and meet the relevant admissions requirements, you will be able to apply for an appended honours degree after completing three years of undergraduate study.

A secondary education qualification such as the NSW Higher School Certificate (including national and international equivalents), OR approved higher education study, including approved preparation courses.
A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
A minimum result of 61 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
